Are Your Kids Safe on The Internet? In one word: No!

Internet is a fundamental part of most people’s everyday life. You and your kids can do just about anything on the Internet: watch movies, play games, make friends and share ideas – anything! If they are using a connected computer, their freedom may go a bit too far.

The nature of the Internet is being so anonymous. It is easy for people to misbehave themselves or trick others. Adults often lay crimes to kids who always have strong curiosity. These threats like cyber-bullying are even greater if a kid is engaged in instant messengers, chat rooms, or social networking sites.

How Can You Protect Them?

There are at least two things you need to do to keep you kids away from what you don’t wish to be accessed by them: monitoring and filtering.

Monitoring:

Be aware of what your child is doing on the computer, including what they are talking about, who they are talking to and which websites they are visiting.

Parental monitoring tools like Micro PC Keylogger and Aobo Keylogger for Mac keep records of typed keystrokes, chat conversations and visited sites and then send copies of the logged data to parent’s Email box.

Filtering:

It is vital for parents to filter out sexual, violent and other inappropriate content, including websites and applications. Here you can choose "blocking and filtering" software.

Filtering software like Aobo Internet Filter for Mac and Aobo Web Blocker for Windows is the choice. These filtering tools are integrated with porn-filtering engine and let parents decide what categories to block.

No parental control tool is 100% foolproof. To help ensure kids’ Internet safety, parents also need to know how to educate their children about staying safe online and manage their kids’ Internet experiences.

Whether you are a concerned parent, husband wife or a business owner curious about the activities on your Mac computers, the two methods below will make suggestions on how to monitor the user activities on your Mac.

METHOD 1

You can use Parental Controls in Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 to help supervise different user activities which include websites, applications and iChat. What follows describe how this feature functions.

Log on to your Mac with an administrator account.

Open “System Preferences” by clicking on the icon in the Dock.

Go to the “Parental Controls” control panel listed below the “System” heading.

Click on the lock in the lower-left corner of the screen and enter your administrative username and password.

Select the account you want to supervise from the list on the left side of the control panel window.

Go to the “Logs” tab at the top of the window. The control panel will now display all of the websites and applications that the account has accessed within the last week.

Note :

You need to be the administrator of the Mac and Parental Controls can not be enabled for administrator accounts.

Mac OS X 10.4 has no “Logs” feature in its Parental Controls which means that this way can only be used in Leopard and Snow Leopard.

METHOD 2

A better approach is to use a Keylogger for Mac. Aobo Mac Keylogger, which supports Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 and later, enables Mac owners to view all keystrokes, websites, passwords, screenshots, applications and chats – track all user activities.

It can be set up to any user account you intend to monitor, including administrator accounts. Once you set it up on the user account you wish to monitor, it runs automatically and stealthily with the log on of the user account.

Monitoring Features of Aobo Mac Keylogger.

Record keystrokes typed on any applications.

Record website visits from Safari and Firefox.

Record desktop screenshots in a preset interval.

Record both-side Aim/Adium/iChat/MSN/Skype chats.

Record passwords (Professional Edition).

Anyway, if you want to monitor user activities on your Mac, the easy ways mentioned above are your best choices.

Scams cover all over the world. As the expansion of the Mac Keylogger market, a lot of swindlers are mushrooming into the newly developed field. To help Mac Keylogger users avoid being taken in, we will illustrate some common Mac Keylogger scams.

1. Mac Keyloggers that can be installed remotely.

There are keyloggers for PC supporting remote installation but Mac Keyloggers are NOT remote installation supportive at present. But some Aobo Mac Keylogger have the feature of sending log reports so that users can read logs remotely and Aobo is still in developing of the remote version keylogger for Mac. Providers who claim that remote installation is featured in their Mac Keyloggers are all scammers currently.

2. Free trial is different from the purchased version.

In order to increase the sales volume, many Mac Keylogger sellers will provide a free trial which comes from Aobo Mac Keylogger company. And the keylogger they are actually selling is something totally different from Aobo Mac Keylogger. Please check and compare the screenshots of the keyloggers for selling and the free trial to refrain from the scams. To get the real version of Aobo Mac Keylogger, please download or purchase it from our official website:
http://www.parental-controls-software.net
http://aobo.cc

3. Trial is available only after registering other products.

Some Mac Keylogger vendors will ask you to register its partners’ products to provide the so-called free trial. However, these products are either useless or expensive. Most of vendors who do like this don’t deliver the free trial at all. Even if some of them provide trial for users, it will take a great many moves to finish the free trial application, which wastes a lot of time.

I believe that the number of Mac Keylogger scams that are in process or in brewing is far above three, and the tricks can be conducted in various measures. Please be careful when you purchase Mac Keylogger online.

Trusted websites to download and purchase Aobo Mac Keylogger:
http://www.keylogger-mac.com

One feature of Aobo Mac Keylogger is that you can set it to automatically delete logs after several days. Here we will give an introduction to the details of how it actually works, which will help users understand how to make Aobo Mac Keylogger work better.

The function of auto-delete, designed for users who have little future opportunity to access the target Mac, aims at reducing the size of log emails and making sure the log emails are sent successfully.

The function of auto-delete will recalculate the auto-delete time when you click “Hide and Go”. That is to say, if you bring up the keylogger interface and then hide and go it, the keylogger will postpone the time of its auto-delete.

The logs will not be automatically deleted if no one logs in the user account. Because Mac Keylogger will not work when you log out the account.

Only if the keylogger sends out a log email according to the email interval, it will delete the logs automatically. It does so to guarantee that you will not miss any log details.

Tips:

If you are able to access the keylogger interface now and again, please delete logs manually.

If you are a user who has no access to the keylogger for a long time, please check “Automatically Delete Logs”.

If you need to send screenshots by emails, please set a shorter auto-delete interval such as 2 days.

Any other auto-delete problem, please contact the Aobo Mac Keylogger ticket support or live support on http://aobo.cc/support

As you know, Aobo mac keylogger is the only mac spy software records passwords, keystrokes, screenshots, website visits. You can set up a email account such as gmail and enable the email function on Aobo keylogger. Aobo keylogger will send you period email with the logs attached.

Sometimes you may want to pause the logs from sending to you or you don’t want to receive logs any more.

Here is the trick from one of Aobo Mac Keylogger users.
He just changed the password for the email which was used to be Smtp. Then the mac keylogger can’t send the logs to him anymore.
If he wants to receive logs again, he can just change the password back, and the keylogger will continue sending the logs to his email.

Those we trust most can hurt us most, of course. But still we do trust some people more than others and usually we not only have good reasons to do so but do it to our advantage, too.

How Mac OS X Mail Parental Controls Work

If your child is still too small to fully trust its decisions (and you know that others can be trusted even less), it may be best to restrict the circle of people they can communicate with. Using the Mac OS X Parental Controls, you can specify the email addresses safe for a user to exchange mail with in Mac OS X Mail.

When somebody not on the save list tries to mail the user, you will see the message first and can choose to allow the sender or continue to restrict them. When the controlled user tries to mail somebody new, you first have to give your approval as well.

Control Email Use with Mac OS X Mail Parental Controls

To control email use with Mac OS X Mail Parental Controls:

Select System Preferences… from the Apple menu.

Go to the Accounts category.

Highlight the desired account.

If the accounts are dimmed, click the lock icon and type an administrator’s name and password.

Go to the Parental Controls tab.

Make sure Mail is checked.

Use the + button to add email addresses to the list of trusted correspondents.

Make sure Send permission emails to: is checked.

Type your email address.

You need to be able to receive these emails in Mac OS X Mail yourself to approve senders directly.

Mac OS X Mail Parental Controls Can be Circumvented

Be aware that a thus parentally controlled user can use a different program to send and receive emails without any restrictions.

Step by Step Tutorial

To moderate what your children are exposed to, Apple has setup some new Parental Control features in OS X. While they aren’t the most robust, they do the job, if configured properly. Here is how to setup parental controls for email.

Note: Your child must have their own account in OS X, or you can’t set these up.

Open ‘System Preferences‘. ‘Apple menu -> System Preferences‘.

Choose ‘Accounts‘

Now, if the ‘padlock‘ is locked, click on it and ‘authenticate‘. This will allow you to make changes.

Next, select your child’s account. It will be one of three types. Either Admin, Standard, or Managed. If it is already managed, great.. you already have some parental control setup. If it’s Standard or Admin, we need to change it. Note: As soon as you enable any of these parental controls, the account goes from a ‘Standard‘ to a ‘Managed‘ account.

Be sure that ‘Allow User To Administer this computer‘ is not enabled.

Next, click on the ‘Parental Controls‘ Tab.

Enable the ‘Mail‘ parental control. This will bring up a new window. This is where you are going to enter any email addresses you want the child to be able to send email to, or receive email from.

After you have added the email addresses, add a check mark next to ‘Send Permission Emails To:’

In this box, enter YOUR email address. If anyone tries to send your child an email or they want to send one to someone not on the list you just defined, you will get an email in your account asking for permission. Very handy, and it keeps bad spam from your kids eyes.

By now, you have probably read news articles about spyware and how its plaguing internet users. Many times spy software is confused with spyware – this page will clear up the difference between the two.

At its most basic definition, spyware is software technology that gathers information about a computer user with or without their knowledge. Typically, this type of spyware is also known as adware. This software is often installed along with other software installations – it piggybacks onto your system – usually without you knowing at all. This software then reports back what websites you frequent, what your interests are, demographic information, and more to the creators of the spyware. This information is then sold to marketing companies and other interested parties. This is NOT what our spy software does.

Computer monitoring software, also known as Spy software, is used to monitor or record all activities occurring on a users computer. This software is installed directly by the user wanting to perform the monitoring – rather than hiding it on top of another software installation. Spy software can be loaded intentionally by the purchaser of the software, or from an attachment in an email. Our spy software can be configured to alert the user they are being monitored, or it can run totally invisible to the user. Our spy software can record nearly every aspect of what a user does on their computer – but it is never reported to anyone else but the actual purchaser of the software.

Who uses spy software?

Our spy software is actively used by concerned parents, worried spouses, government offices, corporate networks, and educational institutions. Spytech has helped countless businesses, educational institutions, parents, and spouses put their mind at ease over how their computers are being used. With our spy software, all activities can be tracked to be used for incrimination in case a user abuses their computer privileges – or it can be used as a visible deterrent from performing inappropriate activities, if the software is configured to alert users they are being monitored.

How could it benefit you?

By now you might be wondering how spy software could work for you. Here are some possible scenarios that you might fall into.

Parental Control

As a parent, you always wonder about how your child uses the computer. With our software you do not need to wonder anymore. All usage is logged: internet connections, websites visited, windows opened, emails, conversations, everything they typed, and so forth. Now you will be able to view and moderate your child’s computer usage. Our software also allows for content filtering to restrict your children from viewing inappropriate websites, applications, and more.

Spousal Monitoring

As much as we would like it not to happen – unfaithfulness in relationships does occur. If you have ever wondered if your spouse is talking to a secret admirer via the Internet, our software is your solution. You can track their emails and web activity just incase they are being unfaithful.

Business Administration

Our spy software can be used for employee monitoring. It can make sure employees stay on task and do not abuse business machines and work time. Monitoring policies can be set in place to let employees know that they may be being watched.

School/Institutions

With our spy software running on school/institutional workstations, machine abuse and misuse is a thing of the past. Actions can be tracked down to individual users according to the time and date in which they happened, and can be saved to convenient logs for incrimination.

Personal Control and File Backup

If privacy is a concern of yours, then our software can help. You can enable our software while you go away from the computer and all activities while your away are logged. Spy software can even be used to save documents that have been lost due to system crashes – if you have the keystroke monitoring enabled!

Is this software legal?

Absolutely. Our monitoring software is legal as long as the purchaser installs it on a computer they own themselves. If a purchaser installs the software on a computer they do not own then they may be violating state and federal laws. If you are worried about this, please consult your local and state laws.
